Chia Seed HummusChia seed hummus ? Whats not to love! This already healthy and tasty dip just got a whole lot better when Sapana from Cooking With Sapana created this recipe with our Whole White Chia Seeds. This addictive hummus made with chickpeas, tahini and chia seeds is perfect for both spreading and dipping, and could be even used as a topping for your favourite salad. If you are having a couple of friends over this is the perfect party snack to nibble away on. Just serve it with vegetable sticks, potatoe wedges or even falafels and it is sure to be a hit.
- 2 cups chickpeas, cooked or canned
- 3-4 garlic cloves
- 4 tablespoon tahini
- 2 tablespoon Chia Bia Whole White Chia Seeds
- juice of one lemon
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika optional
- 1/4 cup olive oil, extra virgin
- coriander or parsley leaves to garnish, optional
Pulse all of the ingredients except the coriander leaves in a food processor or good quality blender until smooth.
Add more or less of the reserved chickpea water to achieve your desired consistency.
Adjust the seasonings to taste. Serve immediately drizzled with some more Whole White Chia Seeds, olive oil, paprika, coriander or parsley leaves.
Top Tips: If you are using canned chickpeas reserve some of the liquid to be used up while processing the hummus.
