BRC Global Standard for Food Safety is a product and process certification standard known for compliance to industry best practices. The standard is a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognised certification programme. BRC certification is an internationally recognised mark of food safety and quality. Food safety is of critical importance when working at any stage of the food supply chain to protect customers, meet legal requirements and safeguard our brand.Chia Bia attained BRC accreditation for the first time in 2015 and we currently hold an AA BRC rating, the highest rating for announced audits. We are one of more than 18,000 BRC manufacturers in 100 countries and gaining this certification gives our brand an internationally recognised mark of food quality, safety and responsibility. It is designed to be efficient, reducing the need for multiple audits and helping to improve processes, and save time and resources.
Our Quality Department, in particular Kate Bowes, Róisín McCahill and Mick Coghlan, worked tirelessly to achieve this certification for the fourth time and as a result our customers can rest assured they are receiving the highest quality seeds possible.
